At PLURIELLES, we believe that sustainable change is built on two powerful pillars: empowering women and activating youth. Recently, these pillars came to life in a vibrant, dynamic way as a group of our young women leaders joined forces with the Haiti Chapter of the Caribbean Youth Environment Network (https://cyen.org) for a landmark Youth March on Sports. This wasn’t just a walk; it was a powerful statement. Here’s how our participants are redefining leadership, community, and the very role of sports in building a stronger Haiti.

More Than a Game: Sports as a Catalyst for Change
The march, organised by Youth Ministry of Haiti, focused on a crucial message: sports are far more than recreation. They are a vital tool for social cohesion, health, and youth development. For the young women of PLURIELLES, this message resonates deeply with our core mission. We see entrepreneurship as a team sport—requiring discipline, strategy, resilience, and collaboration. By participating, our members championed the idea that the same principles that drive an athlete, perseverance, goal-setting, and teamwork, are essential for driving social and economic entrepreneurship. They carried banners not just for sport, but for the potential it unlocks: reduced inequality, improved mental and physical well-being, and a united community.
Young Women at the Forefront: Leading the Stride
The participation of PLURIELLES’ youth was intentional and symbolic. In a space traditionally dominated by male voices, our young women stepped forward as visible leaders and advocates. They marched to claim their space in public discourse, to highlight the importance of inclusive access to sports for girls and young women, and to model the active, engaged citizenship we foster.
One participant, Jessica, aged 22, shared: “Marching with CYEN Haiti and my PLURIELLES sisters showed me that our voice matters in every arena: whether it’s in business, in environmental advocacy, or in promoting healthy communities. We are the energy Haiti needs.”
Building Bridges Through Collaboration
Partnering with an organization like CYEN Haiti underscores a key PLURIELLES principle: collaboration multiplies impact. CYEN’s expertise in youth mobilization and environmental advocacy beautifully complements our focus on women’s economic empowerment. Together, we present a holistic vision for Haiti’s future:
one where a healthy environment, a thriving economy, and social justice are interconnected goals led by a new generation.
This joint action sends a clear signal: the challenges Haiti faces require united fronts. When organizations dedicated to youth, women, and the environment walk side-by-side, we map out the path forward.
